Born in Spain to Jose Molas and Maria Vallvé, she displayed a tender and sensitive nature from childhood, particularly towards the poor and marginalized. Life and Ministry
Vallvé's religious calling became clear with her First Communion, leading her to consecrate herself to God and adopt the name "Maria Rosa." She entered the Corporation Sisters of Charity in January 1841, serving in a hospital in Reus. During a city bombardment in 1844, she remained to help those in need.
In 1849, she moved with her fellow sisters to Tortosa, where the scope of her mission expanded. On March 14, 1857, she founded her own religious congregation for women, dedicated to aiding the poor and outcasts. She officially named this congregation the Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation on November 14, 1858.
As her health declined in May 1876, she accepted her approaching end with faith, remarking, "The holy will of God be done." She died on June 11, 1876.
