Wat Pasantidhamma

Wat Pasantidhamma, also referred to by its shorter name, "Wat Pa," is a Thai Theravada Buddhist temple located at 14289 Chapmans Lane in the rural setting of Carrollton, Virginia. The temple's name, "Wat Pa," directly translates from Thai to mean 'a peaceful temple in the woods,' reflecting its serene environment. Established in 1998, Wat Pasantidhamma holds a significant place in the religious landscape of Virginia as it was the first Buddhist temple founded in the Tidewater (southeastern) region of the state.

As a non-profit religious organization, Wat Pasantidhamma is dedicated to serving the spiritual and cultural needs of the Thai and Thai American communities. Its role extends beyond its immediate vicinity, as it was noted in 2010 to be one of only three Buddhist temples operating within the entire state of Virginia.
