Preston also began a recording project under the working title "White Rabbit, White Rabbit, White Rabbit," which ultimately resulted in two 12-inch EPs: "White Rabbit" in 1999 and "Sperm Whale" in 2000. These EPs were later compiled onto a CD release.
Following an extended period of inactivity that began in 2001, Thrones resumed regular live performances in May 2006, though intermittent shows had occurred during this hiatus, including support slots for bands like Sunn O))).
